Duffy's Cut Sign

Come out to the special event of the unveiling of the new Duffy's Cut sign that will replace the old sign that was erected back in 1909 above the stone enclosure. The old metal sign at Duffy's Cut has the wrong date and cause of death and needed to be replaced now that we know the real cause and to honor those who perished here.

We will be unveiling a newly painted sign, with accurate date and information that is courtesy of Pearse Kerr and his IBEW brothers at Amtrak, with the approval and support of the East Whiteland Historical Commission. The new sign will be unveiled at this special event at Marty Magee's Irish Pub on Saturday, April 15 starting at 7 pm.

There will be raffles and a silent auction to help support Duffy's Cut.

Team members, Bill Watson, Frank Watson, Joe Magee, Shawn Swords, Roger Bruce, Matthew McStravog, Joe Conte, Rich Karl, Taylor Sims and other members of the crew will be there to hear of the anticipated announcement about the resumption of the Duffy's Cut Dig.

Come and support Duffy's Cut and honor those who gave their lives so quickly upon arrival here in America. It is with your help that we can continue and find the remaining men and in turn honor their lives and give them the proper burial that they so desperately deserve.
